about

Daniel began writing songs when he was 14 years old. Receiving standing ovations at high school concerts, he toyed with the idea of publishing his music. Instead, what happened was that he utilized his songs and wrote additional songs for theatre productions. Although mainly dealing with theatre, Daniel worked in social service agencies for about 30 years. Over that time he wrote personal songs and songs for plays he wrote, including 200 full two act musicals. Kids kept telling him to release an album, but he just simply did not make time in his schedule. One thousand songs later and with help from his own music studio, Daniel left his profession to focus on music. His debut album is entitled “A Moment In Time.” It is a composite of moments and songs those moments are based on and is available now.

Daniel trained in piano, and music theory for 12 years at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

After his father passed away in 2009, Daniel was even more determined to make an album. His father always wanted Daniel to publish his music, so that is what he finally did. Combining some of his show tunes from the rock genre and his own personal songs, Daniel created a compilation of songs which span over a 35 year period. This is his first album, but he certainly is no rookie. The follow-up album, "More Moments In Time," is due out in April. When that album is released, Daniel will begin to release albums with his new material written in the past year and beyond.

It is the right time for Alpern to release this album. Rock music spans about 3 generations, and the technology has made it easier for him to finally fulfill his lifelong dream. We think when you hear his album, you will be reminded of Elton John and others like him. Daniel idolizes Elton John and has so for over 30 years.

Although Daniel has gone through some difficult times starting with the untimely death of his father, what better way to honor his memory then to launch a music career that will hopefully last for years to come.
